Diet Change in Saudi Arabia

   Nowadays in Saudi Arabia, a lot of people are facing the risk of diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension ( high blood pressure), obesity and so on, owing to the radical changes in the systems of nutrition. In this topic we are going to focus on the fundamental reasons that caused horrible effects on Saudi people's bodies.

    The most dangerous reason that led to these problems is the increase of eating from restaurants' fatty food. Particularly, fast food, which is become spread out in restaurants all over the country. In spite of its negative effect due health that raises the possibilities of having cardiovascular troubles, because it contains lots of saturated fat, which may by the end of the day brings about facing diabetes and obesity as well.

   One more reason is that the shortage of eating healthy food, such as fruits and vegetables, which are considered the main sources of vitamins and minerals that are necessary for protecting and strengthening the immune system of our bodies. On the contrary, getting more and more chips, chocolate, sweets and soft drinks, that are full of calories and less in nutrition's values, specifically between the main courses may be one of the terrible factors to be obese. Specially, among youths, teenagers, and school children. What is also worthy to mention in this context is that we often ignore breakfast meal, despite its importance and rarely go on sports activities, especially for women.

   On the whole, getting too much fast food and reduce dealing with healthy one like fruits and vegetables, that are rich of beneficial nutrition's values, may raises the hazards of being in awful body shape. Personally, I recommend that there should be much more awareness about health process in both media and educational institutes.
